Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon 44.25mm Skeleton Dial Chronograph Watch
Honoring Omega's legacy of space exploration, this Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon features a 44.25 mm polished and brushed grey ceramic case with a plasma treatment. The brushed grey ceramic bezel is engraved with a tachymeter scale filled with white Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility.
Beneath the front sapphire crystal, Omega's connection to the moon is celebrated through a movement specially decorated with laser-ablated engravings on the main plate and bridges to replicate the lunar surface. The skeletonized grey anodized aluminum dial reveals the near side of the moon, while the far side can be viewed through the transparent caseback. The display includes a small seconds subdial at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute recorder at 3 o'clock, and a 12-hour recorder at 6 o'clock. Greyed Moonwatch-style hands and beveled hour markers are filled with white Super-LumiNova for exceptional low-light readability.
Powered by the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3869, this timepiece features a movement inspired by the lunar surface. The caseback is engraved with the quote, "THE MOON IS ESSENTIALLY GREY," spoken by Apollo 8 Command Module Pilot Jim Lovell. Completing the design is a grey rubber strap with a moon surface pattern on the underside, a ceramic foldover clasp, and ceramized titanium frame-spring folders.
