Inspired by Seiko’s first sports watch, the 1959 Alpinist, this rugged yet refined timepiece features the iconic wedge-shaped markers, bold numerals, stylized hands, and a 24-hour GMT function.
An upgraded curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface provides excellent visibility, while the inner rotating compass bezel makes the watch ideal for hiking and outdoor activities. Framed by a 24-hour GMT bezel, the brilliant blue sunray dial includes a date calendar, LumiBrite hands and markers, and a red-tipped GMT hand.
Visible through the see-through screwdown caseback, the 24-jewel automatic movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, offers a power reserve of approximately 72 hours, and includes manual winding capability. Crafted of stainless steel with a durable super-hard coating, this timepiece is finished with a blue leather strap, a secure screwdown crown, and a tri-fold push-button release clasp.
