From the Emmys to the Governors Gala: A Night in Lewis Jewelry
Awards night begins long before the first envelope is opened.
There is the anticipation. The final look in the mirror. The arrival. The cameras. And somewhere between getting dressed and taking your seat, the pieces you chose for the evening begin collecting a story of their own.
At this year’s Emmy Awards, Emmy voter Erin and her husband, Manny, brought Lewis along for the night—wearing pieces from our Prima Collection, distinctive fine jewelry, and timepieces from Omega and Breitling from the ceremony through the Governors Gala.
For us, the photographs that followed tell the better story.
A cushion-cut aquamarine ring wrapped around a martini glass. Diamonds against a black evening gown. A watch beneath a tuxedo cuff. Two hands held together during the ceremony.
The jewelry was there. But the night was always the point.
Jewelry Made for the Occasion—and Everything Around It
Red-carpet jewelry has an unusual job.
It has to hold its own beneath the lights without becoming louder than the person wearing it. The right piece doesn’t compete with a gown or tuxedo. It completes the thought.
For Erin, that meant diamonds and aquamarine against a black evening gown. For Manny, deep blue stones, yellow gold, and a Swiss chronograph brought personality to classic black tie.
Nothing needed to match perfectly. It simply needed to feel like them.
That balance between presence and restraint is something we think about often at Lewis. Fine jewelry should be noticed, certainly. But it should also feel lived in.
Even on one of television’s biggest nights.
What Erin Wore: Prima Diamonds, Aquamarine and Omega
Against Erin’s black evening gown, the jewelry could afford to have presence.
At the neckline was one of the newest signatures of our Prima Collection: the Prima Twisted Double-Strand Diamond Necklace.
Crafted in 14K white gold, two strands set with 2.53 total carats of round diamonds twist together across the neckline. The design has movement without feeling overly formal, giving the classic diamond necklace a more modern point of view.
Under the lights of the Emmys, the diamonds did what they do best.
They caught the light when Erin moved.
At her ears, Erin wore another new Prima design: the Prima Aquamarine Halo Drop Earrings.
The pair centers on 17.38 total carats of luminous aquamarine, surrounded by 1.75 total carats of diamonds and set in 18K white gold. The scale gives them presence, while the pale blue aquamarines keep them remarkably light in feeling.
Against black, the color had room to speak.
And the aquamarine story continued on her hand.
Erin also wore a cushion-cut aquamarine and diamond ring, centered by an 8.22-carat aquamarine set in polished 18K white gold. Six baguette diamonds, totaling 0.37 carats, flank the center stone.
The geometry of the baguettes brings a sharper edge to the softness of the cushion-cut aquamarine. Paired with the drop earrings, the effect felt considered without becoming overly coordinated.
Blue appeared again and again throughout the look. Not as a theme. As a point of view.
Erin finished the evening with an Omega De Ville Trésor 39mm Diamond Bezel Black Dial Watch.
Against the diamonds and cool blue aquamarines, the black dial created a quiet connection back to her gown. It also made a case for something we’ve always appreciated: a beautiful watch belongs in the jewelry conversation.
Diamonds at the neckline. Aquamarine at the ears and hand. Omega at the wrist.
Different pieces. One point of view.
What Manny Wore: A Night Sky Made at Lewis
Manny’s tuxedo gave us room to do something less expected.
A lapis lazuli bumblebee brooch in 14K yellow gold sat at his lapel, bringing deep blue and warm gold into an otherwise classic black-tie look.
Then came the ring.
On Manny’s left hand was the Prima Blue Star Sapphire Moon & Stars Ring, designed and made by Lewis Jewelers and brought to life by our Master Jeweler, Ricardo Mendoza.
At its center sits a 4.37-carat unheated oval cabochon blue star sapphire, selected for the natural character that makes the stone entirely its own.
Set in 18K yellow gold, the sapphire is surrounded by a diamond crescent moon, while scattered diamond-set stars continue across the ring. Thirty-three E–F color, VS clarity diamonds totaling 0.49 carats create the celestial composition without taking attention away from the stone at its center.
A night sky, made to keep.
There was something fitting about seeing this particular ring beneath the lights of the Emmys.
It began here at Lewis. A remarkable sapphire. An idea. The hands of a jeweler who knows how to turn one into the other.
Then Ricardo’s work left the bench.
And that night, Manny wore it.
That journey matters to us more than where the ring was photographed. The piece was designed to become personal with time—to be worn now and, one day, passed on.
The Emmys simply became one chapter in its story.
The Watch Beneath the Tuxedo Cuff
Manny completed his look with a Breitling Superocean Heritage B01 Chronograph 42 with a black rubber strap.
It was an unexpected choice for black tie, which is precisely why it worked.
The Superocean Heritage comes from a very different world than the tuxedo. Its character is sporting and confident. Against formal tailoring, that contrast made the watch feel personal rather than prescribed.
And throughout the evening, it appeared exactly as a great watch should—occasionally visible beneath the cuff, present without demanding attention.
The specifications tell one story.
Where you wear it tells another.
After the Ceremony
Then the evening changed.
After the awards came the Governors Gala, where the formality of the ceremony gave way to conversation, congratulations, cocktails, and an evening shared with colleagues and friends.
The jewelry changed with it, too.
Not literally.
Its role changed.
What had been part of an evening look became part of the evening itself.
The aquamarine ring wrapped around a martini glass.
Earrings catching the light across the table.
A Breitling visible from a theater seat.
Diamonds beside a hand reaching for another.
These are small details. Years from now, they may be the details that bring the whole evening back.
The Pieces We Remember Aren’t Always the Ones in the Spotlight
Awards-show jewelry can feel like a world apart: red carpets, formal gowns, television cameras, and an occasion watched by millions.
Remove the cameras, though, and something familiar remains.
We all have nights we want to remember.
An anniversary dinner. A wedding. A black-tie gala. A long-awaited celebration. A professional milestone that took years to reach. Or simply an evening when everyone you love happened to be in the same room.
Fine jewelry has always had a way of attaching itself to those memories.
You remember the earrings you wore.
The watch beneath his cuff.

The Emmys celebrate storytelling.
What we’ll remember from this particular evening is a much smaller story: Erin and Manny dressed for an extraordinary night, wearing pieces they loved, taking photographs, raising a glass, and experiencing it together.
We’re grateful Lewis got to be a small part of it.
Because years from now, when one of these pieces comes out again, there will be another story attached to it.
