Inspired by Seiko’s first sports watch, introduced in 1959 for daring mountaineers, this tailored yet rugged creation celebrates the Alpinist legacy of high-intensity timekeeping. Equipped with a rotating inner compass bezel for outdoor adventure, the iconic design features a turquoise dial, a color theme pulled from the archives, with the signature Arabic numerals and wedge-shaped indices of the series, as well as LumiBrite hands and markers.
Visible through the transparent caseback, marked with the trademark Alpinist “mountain” symbol, the 24-jewel automatic movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of approximately 72 hours and manual winding capability. Crafted of stainless steel with super-hard coating, the watch features a tri-fold push-button release clasp and secure screwdown crown for reliable everyday performance.
