There’s nothing like getting engaged in Houston.
Everything is bigger in our great state of Texas and getting engaged should be no different. Let’s face it, finding the person of your dreams is a big deal. Finding the perfect engagement ring to celebrate that love is an even bigger deal.
At Lewis Jewelers, we’re here to make that process easy, and yes, fun. We believe every individual deserves an engagement ring that’s as unique, special, and as extraordinary as your relationship. It starts by offering some of today’s top designers and award-winning styles from Forvermark, JB Star, Jack Kelége, Aspiri and Legacy – an exclusive Lewis Jewelers line you won’t find anywhere else. And, if you’re truly going for something exclusively you, custom designing the ring of your dreams might be the perfect option. Not to worry, we literally specialize in custom design. Most of all, we know making such an important decision can sometimes be overwhelming and daunting, so we’re here to guide you through that process. Click to contact us.
It starts by getting to know you.
Engagement rings should be an expression of who you are. Are you classic, contemporary, modern, traditional, or have a flair for all things vintage? We’ll be taking a lot of time just talking about your personal style, likes and dislikes. If you tend to like more traditional and classic looks, a solitaire on a simple band may be just perfect for you – and never goes out of style. Along with picking the style that best suits you, you’ll also want to give some thought to the metal that’s also perfect for your lifestyle. For example, if you’re prone to skin allergies, platinum (which is hypo-allergenic) may be the best choice for you! There are endless options. And, you can begin your engagement ring search right here. Having a difficult time making a decision? That’s why we’re here! We’ll help narrow the engagement ring options for you.

Custom Design FAQs
I love the idea of a custom engagement ring, but I’m not sure I can afford it.
A custom designed engagement ring does not necessarily mean it will be more expensive. Nothing can be further from the truth. We’re “pressure-free “ here at Lewis Jewelers. We’ll discuss your vision, And, yes, we’ll discuss your budget. And, we’ll do everything we can to make sure you receive a ring you’ll love at a price you’re comfortable with. But, we also have amazing financing options!
Is there a way to secure a ring size?
The average finger size is a 6 for women and size 9 for a man, but to take out the guesswork, we recommend asking a friend or a family member if you can “borrow” a ring without anyone knowing. It’s a good way to keep the engagement ring a surprise – remind your friend that mum’s the word!
Is custom work refundable?
Unfortunately, no. Custom designed jewelry involves metal, gems, and labor furnished for a specific client. Custom jewelry is non-refundable and requires a 50% non-refundable deposit before the final work begins. Full payment upon receipt of custom work will happen upon your complete satisfaction.
Color - The new alternative in engagement rings.
A growing number of the fashion savvy are opting for fancy diamonds from canary yellow to pale pinks to blues. All of which are rare, beautiful and certainly uncommon. But, if colored diamonds don’t strike your fancy (pardon the pun), you can also consider precious gemstones like sapphires, rubies, and emeralds. Sapphires are most known for their vivid blues but also come in a magnificent array of colors from yellow, peach, green, and pink. And rubies will range the spectrum of rich scarlet to pinkish reds. Other precious gemstones to consider are aquamarines, tanzanite, and tourmalines, which tend to be a more affordable option. Want to know more about color? There’s a lot to know. Lab-Grown Diamond Engagement Rings
As you research diamonds and prepare to make your engagement ring purchase, you may have seen information about lab created diamonds. Lab created diamonds share the same or similar chemical and physical properties as a natural diamond produced by the geological processes of Mother Nature. However, because of the contrasting conditions of natural and lab-grown formation, lab-grown diamonds display several features which allow them to be distinguished from natural diamonds.
It’s important to note, the natural diamond industry supports jobs for more than ten million people across the globe and contributes billions of dollars each year to local economies, investing in public health care, education, roads, electricity, sanitation, and other public goods.
The natural diamond industry supports jobs for more than ten million people across the globe and contributes billions of dollars each year to local economies.
These efforts have virtually eradicated conflict diamonds, ensuring that 99.8 percent of all diamonds on the market come from conflict-free sources. In contrast, the laboratory-grown diamond industry currently has limited regulation and oversight, where natural diamonds are often traced from mine-to-market with processes such as blockchain, the Kimberley Process, and assurances including the World Diamond Council System of Warranties, and audit programs from the Responsible Jewellery Council.
We don’t sell lab-grown diamonds for a number of reasons. We believe when you love someone, you have a rare and real connection with them. The Earth produces diamonds, and each is utterly unique. Like you. Like love. For centuries, diamonds have been the symbol of love. Just because human beings figured out how to reproduce them in a lab doesn’t diminish the fact that diamonds formed in the earth are rare. In fact, it makes natural diamonds all that more different and special. Just like you.
Engagement Ring Trends.
Engagement rings come in all sizes, shapes, and settings. If you’re looking for a little help, these top engagement ring trends will help you figure out which one is sure to get a “yes”!
Oval Cut Diamonds
This beautiful deviation from the classic round center stone is quickly gaining traction due to its flattering shape and vintage vibe, especially when paired with a simple band.
Rose Gold Rings
Rose gold has been trending for a few years now and is showing no signs of losing ground. Feminine and flattering, rose gold is romantic and appearing in ring collections aplenty.
Those looking for a ring with a pop of color will be happy to hear that engagement rings featuring colored gemstones are staying in vogue. From subtle to striking, colored gemstones are sure to be a standout choice to switch up a classic engagement ring.
Not a classic type? Pear-shaped diamonds in mixed metals scream modern and fashion-forward, especially when paired with rose gold or set with pavé diamonds around the center diamond.
Stack It Up
When one just won’t do, ring stacks are a major hit. Look for wedding bands to complement nicely with “tiara” style bands that form half-halos around center stones. This style is worthy of a royal.
Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement, this trend has seen a resurgence in popularity. Although this is not a new look, choosing three similarly sized diamonds for the setting is the most updated way to wear it.
This style, with two bands running parallel to each other and a gemstone separating them, is both dramatic and trendy. Your center diamond will look like it’s suspended while it sparkles.
Minimalist Round Cuts
Simply breathtaking, this trend is very popular for the classic bride-to-be who wants a style that’s pretty and not over the top.
